Way to Kaghbhusandi Lake

Kagbhusandi Lake is famous for its emerald green water. It is about one kilometer in length and can be approached either from Bhyunder village, near Ghangharia, or from Vishnu Prayag. The trek from Bhyunder passes through thick forests and involves walking long distances across glacial rocks that are slippery. The trek is very eyecatching.

We followed the following route:

Day 1: Ghangharia-->Bhyunder-->Samartoli(8 km approx)

Day 2: Samartoli-->Raj Kharak(4 km approx)

Day 3:Raj Kharak---> Kaghbhusandi Lake(6km approx)

Day 4:Kaghbhusani--->Bhyunder(16km approx)

We(Devesh Pant & Pawan Jain) started from Gangaria and hire some Nepali porter and guide. It was a simple trek till Bhyunder village. From Bhyunder the trek is very eyecatching, it passes long through the woods with humming sound of insects. It is a very beautiful trek. We stopped at Samartoli and put our tent.
The next day we started our trek again and stopped at Raj Kharak which was our second camp site. Raj Kharak is really a very beautiful place and there are lot of plain surfaces in the valley to put the tent.
Day 3 trek was difficult as there was no specific path as it was till Raj kharak. Here the actual role of your guide comes. One has to cross rivers walk on glaciers and slippery hard rocks. During this way lot of Brahma kamal, Fern kamal, Neel kamal can be seen. Finall we reach the lake at an altitude of 17000 ft approx. We came back from same route.
